Throughout the course of my career, I have had the unbelievably good fortune of learning at the feet of some truly talented and wonderful people - many were peers who became friends, a few I called "jefe", and others I considered true mentors. The common thread was that they all had no problem investing genuine time and interest in helping me tackle whatever problem or goal we were working on solving together. They shared their lessons learned and unique perspectives on business, people, and leadership. The goal of launching Verity SA is to pay their kindness forward by sharing these lessons learned and to turn my love of helping folks solve their business challenges into a full-time pursuit.
My approach to problem solving for businesses is rooted in the broad array of situations and experiences that I encountered in over fifteen years as a revenue and people leader in the tech sector. I have successfully led teams and organizations of all sizes, complexities, and geographies through record-breaking revenue attainment, whiplash inducing go-to market launches, and even complete organizational rebuilds. You can learn a bit more about my revenue & growth background in tech by checking out my LinkedIn page via the button below.
In my most recent role, I served as the Chief Talent Officer of Tech Bloc where I worked to recruit and develop tech talent to fuel the continued growth of San Antonio’s local tech ecosystem and created the accompanying Tech Talent Central program. At Geekdom, I launched economic development programs and led various startup and entrepreneur programming that only deepened my passion and curiosity for exploring how to solve business challenges in the tech industry. During that time, I was incredibly fortunate to collaborate with the City of San Antonio's Office of Innovation in co-founding the CivTechSA program. I also assisted in the development of the Geekdom Community Fund which provides initial seed funding to promising startups to accelerate the growth of San Antonio’s emerging class of entrepreneurs.
From a personal perspective, I'm incredibly dedicated to building the San Antonio community and that has led me to be an active mentor with Geekdom, Venture for America, and Trinity University as well as numerous entrepreneurs and other emerging leaders in our community. My current board work includes serving as Vice President of Spurs Give, the Chair of VIA's Transit Community Council (VTCC), a board member for Students + Startups, as a member of the SA Works Industry Council, and proudly serving as the Board Chair for the Promesa Academy Charter School.
